Edwin and Naomi Quinn farm, with their four children, at Carwitham Barton, situated near the north coast of Cornwall.
The Montbeliardes are milked on two Lely robots. During the winter the cows are housed, whilst in spring, summer and autumn the cows graze outdoors.
The Montbeliardes are a dual purpose breed of good beef quality and stature. Therefore, the steers can be raised along with the commercial beef herd through to slaughter. Also, selected bulls are kept as potential breeding bulls.
